Let's tee off
The Beast aka Waco ๐ฅ
The Pro Tour resumes this weekend in Texas. Kicking off the Texas swing (Waco, Texas State Championships and The Open at Belton)
Last years event was exciting as well. Kona crushed the field. And Nikko and Cale gave us one of the best battles all year. I expect this year to be no different. Especially after the finish at Vegas. Expect crazy weather conditions.
The podium picks at The Albatross? + Darkhorse
MPO
Paul McBeth
Calvin Heimburg
Chris Dickerson
Darkhorse: Andrew Marwede
Vinny will put his game together this year and have a great year. Dickerson should also play exceptional. But I'm going with Paul McBeth.
Paul always plays with a chip on his shoulder. He's the goat and he wants to make sure people don't forget. He has shot the perfect -18 before in Waco. Has momentum from this weekends victory. I expect him to take it down. Someone who might make a run at a podium? Andrew Marwede.
FPO
Kristin Tattar
Paige Pierce
Catrina Allen
Darkhose: Valerie Mandujano
I think Paige and Catrina are going to show up and play exceptional. But with the momentum from The Memorial. Kristin takes it down. Her forehand will be useful and her putting looks great. But watch out, Valerie is going to make a run at it and potentially steal a podium spot from one of them.
Where to watch

The McMorial Recap
Just kidding. But they wouldn't be wrong for naming that ๐คท๐ฝ
MPO:
We predicted (as did most) that Paul McBeth would take down his 7th Memorial Championship. And sure enough he did. He started the 4 round tournament by shooting an opening 1108 rated round of -16 ๐ฎ. Thanks to Terry Miller aka The Disc Golf Guy for the footage. A disc golf media legend.
Also shoutout too; Anthony Barela playing solid golf to take 2nd. Aaron Gassage for the 3rd place podium. LVC winner, Drew Gibson earned a respectable 4th. While Jordan Castro finished in 6th, playing some solid golf all weekend
FPO:
We got one thing right... That Kristin Tattar would take down the Memorial. But def didn't expect both Henna and Eveliina to both not make podium.
Henna was able to bounce back and shoot a hot round of -5 on Sunday. Climbing back into 4th place. If Kristin Tattar can put it all together. She'll have a strong chance at taking down Waco.
Generational Impact ๐ฅ
Paul McBeth Foundation built another course. He is doing amazing work. As a Latino (Mexican) myself. This stuff warms my heart. You can watch past documentaries on the youtube channel.

In case you missed it:
Jomez dropped their season finale of the putting game
Speaking of Jomez. The bossman himself, Johnathon made an appearance on the Upshot
TLDR; as mentioned last week. With their brand (sales, merch, ad revenue, Patreon) and more - they can afford the $500K deal. Anytime Johnathon speaks, it's worth tuning into
$1 million dollars is up for grabs at The MVP Open for the FPO
Bruhh what? PDGA made some updated rules to the the Mandos. It's confusing. Check out some tweets to get a better understanding of how confusing these rules are going to be
Catrina Allen dropped her new logo. Same designer as Calvin's
Eagle retakes the throne. For now... Here is the latest PDGA rankings. Paul's 1074 Memorial is not included fyi. Ricky is 2nd

As the disc golf market grows. More and more companies will enter the space. It's exciting times.
With that comes new companies: Meet Alfa Discs, a new manufacture out of Norway๐ณ๐ด
They have a disc available for sale already (The Apollo) with more to come.
